Washington Real Estate

Washington State got its name from the great US president George Washington. The state houses the famous city of Seattle. Washington has a total land area of 71,303 square miles. It is surrounded by Idaho, Oregon and Canada. Washington has 39 counties and a coastline of 157 miles.

It is in Washington where the American Indian tribe lived for several thousand years.  Washington was explored and claimed both by Spain and England long ago. Land disputes between the explorers and the tribes come about and have been common those days. The rich history of the state’s lands is somehow reflected on Washington’s real estate today.

The climate in Washington is different in the eastern part and the western part of the state. On the west, the climate is mild and humid. The eastern part has a cool dry climate. The mountainous part of the state is not as wet as the other parts though it is still considered humid.

The attractions in Washington include the Columbia River Gorge, Puget Sound, and the city of Seattle itself. A lot of national parks are also worth visiting in the state. The Olympic National Park and Mt. Rainier National Park are two examples.
