North Dakota Real Estate

For many years, North Dakota was regarded as “The Wild West”. But its image as a rough, uncultivated and untamed place is, in fact, the opposite of it and quite farther from the truth. Many residents in North Dakota, mostly ranchers and farmers, are of Scandinavian, Native American and European origin. These diverse influences bring a legacy that complements North Dakota’s western culture, heritage and environment.

The state is grouped into three distinct regions: Red River Valley, Drift Prairie and the Great Plains.

  • Red River Valley sits just along the Minnesota–North Dakota state line. Its flat surface is considered very, very fertile. Ideally, farm houses and ranches are built here, as the place is good for raising crops and livestock.

  • Drift Prairie is located in the hills found in the west of North Dakota. Here, the lakes are swarmed with nesting ducks; and the cool streams in the valley are ideal for fishing.

  • The Great Plains occupy most of North Dakota’s land area. The hills that surround it are full of mineral deposits. The famous Badlands sit in this part of North Dakota and serves as a grandiose backdrop to those that live around it.

Wide-open spaces characterize most real estate in North Dakota. Affordable housing is quite plentiful and there are also many prime properties available to those wanting to build their dream homes here.
