The “land of enchantment”, as it is called, New Mexico’s landscape offers a breathtaking picture of beauty --- where colourful art and architecture, rich culture, dance and music live. Income is mainly derived from mining, glass and clay production, as well as jewelry making. However, industrial centers catering to food processing, retail publishing and printing are booming in the capital city. The state also supports a thriving artists’ community located in Santa Fe. Several jobs are also related to the military as the state has three bases in the vicinity.  As such, many military families and retirees both from the military and government service make this state their ideal home.  Many real estate properties in this town consist of country homes and ranches with very distinct architecture.

In the summer months, there is usually a predictable crowd flocking the museums, natural attractions and annual Indian festivities. During fall season, the weather is delightfully clear and crisp. Winter time is a special occasion in New Mexico, as many families get together to celebrate the holidays. Spring season brings milder weather conditions.
