Kentucky has had a deep and vivid history since the  times. It was a contested area during the American Civil War, and the key Civil War Political figures of both the Union and the Confederacy, Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis, were both born in Kentucky.

The real estate market growth in this state attributes the real estate boom in recent years to individuals who feel the need to go back and live the simpler life. The state offers a wonderful community life that is rich in history and high in family values.

Apart from history however, Kentucky has much more to offer. It is steadily growing in the manufacturing sector, and as such the said industry is the cornerstone of its economic activities. It is also home to great educational facilities, libraries, museums, as well as sports teams and sports events. The Kentucky Derby, the famous annual horse race in particular, is one of the most well-attended events by citizens of the state and tourists alike.

In terms of size, Kentucky is the 37th largest state of the Union. It has an area of about 104,659 square kilometers.
