Anyone who visits the state of Colorado will tell you that the state is of a striking beauty. The Rocky Mountains, more commonly known as the Rockies, form the most dominant physical feature of the state. The Colorado Plateau, the Great Plains, as well as the various plateaus and mountains that occupy about 2/3 of the state all contribute to the state’s rugged charm and individuality. These state attractions have played a major role in the state’s development, particularly by attracting a steady stream of tourists. As a matter of fact, tourism accounts for one of the most important economic activities in the state, and is also one of the reasons for the states’s continued and steady real estate growth.
Climate is another factor in the constant growth of its real estate market. Cooler conditions prevail in the higher mountains, and hot daytime spells are common on the plains and in the Colorado Plateau. However, although Colorado summers are hot, they are generally not uncomfortable because the relative humidity is usually low. Summer nights are also relatively cool.
The state’s climate is conducive for plenty of adventurous outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, skiing and the like. As such, tourism is a vital part of the state’s economy.
The state is also rich in culture, with its inhabitants coming from diverse origins. Many of the inhabitants are descendants of immigrants who came from the British Isles. African Americans, Vietnamese, Chinese, as well as a sprinkling of inhabitants originally from countries of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics form part of the Colorado population.

Although on a steady growth rate, Colorado is still not densely populated. It ranks 24th in population among the 50 states, with a population of about 4.3 million.
