San Mateo Real Estate

San Mateo County is primarily a residential county, with most of its real estate clustered along the foothills rising to the San Morona Mountains to the west.  The industries, mostly dedicated for manufacturing purposes, are located in the lower lands along the bay.  The relative isolation from each other of the residential and industrial districts gives the county a substantial foundation for future developments.

San Mateo County’s real estate is most appealing to the people who want to be closer to nature without being too distant from urban centers.  The gorgeous natural scenery, attractions, showplace real estate, and colorful fields and gardens offer a feast for anyone’s eyes.  The short driving distance to San Francisco and other Bay Area counties are favorable to commuters during weekdays, while having a plethora of nearby recreational opportunities to choose from during the weekends.  San Mateo County real estate is nestled along one of the most breath taking scenery in the Bay Area making it an ideal choice for those who wants a natural escape from the concrete-dominated urban centers.  Travel matters could also be addressed by the San Francisco International Airport (located in the northern part of the county), the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), the Sam-Trans buses, and CalTrain.
